Dava,
You really are a "local" aren't you!
Dandrews,
Hardly a pipe bender, kind of a hack that's been building stuff since I was 10. I'm from the school of "if it looks right, it probably is". and take your time, neatness counts. I actually own a private detective agency but my heart is really in my shop. I just work too slow to make a living at it, no one could afford me.

I wonder why all the solar panels are advertised in watts, not amps.
It actually make a lot of sense to rate panels in Watts, as it's the best single-number way to explain their power output. For your design, for example, you could have started with the loads, then sized the battery - for example, capacity needed when the sun's not shining - then calculated what power panel you need to run loads in the day plus charge the battery back up for night use (plus some margin). You'd then look for an x number of Watts panel.

I hope this makes sense.

Anyway, I think you will be good, and your workmanship is top notch. Neatness counts with electrical work!

Progress,
Got the switch/ fuse panel wired. Waiting on some terminals to wire the solar panel junction box, and done!

Some expert supervision from the shop cat, who it appears could care less.
