I am a new sailboat owner and the solar panel that was original on my 1997 hunter 376
is not working and looks terrible. what should I do or is there a replacement for this panel?
also the fixed windows in front of the panel have snaps around them, as maybe they once had a cover. Any ideas on replacing these window covers or where to locate them?

The snaps around the large overhead window are for a cover. If you are missing that cover, you could try the Hunter factory or this HOW site. Failing that, I would have a canvas supplier make you one. It is a very simple cover to make and once the size is measured the snaps just need to mate. The original cover was a light-weight vinyl, not Sunbrella, but I think a white Sunbrella would work just fine. I have one for my 1997 40.5 and I have never used it in the north. In SC it would probably be good to have in the summer to slow the heating of the salon.

As for the solar panel, check this site for a replacement. I don't think mine is working either but that is not an issue for me since it is a very small panel anyway.
