It depends
Rich, you need to determine if the core material is wet. If it is you've got a tougher problem but if it's a 'void' it can be easily fixed. Hunter and others use many pieces of core material to stop the migration of water through out the deck. It's not uncommon to have a dry area under there that did not get a lot of resin for bonding to the skin when Hunter made the deck. The fix is to use West System, drill several holes in the deck (around 1/4") and using a large syringe inject the epoxy into the core, continuing until it runs out some of the other holes. Then you plug with wood screws and wait for it to set up. Next you have to sand the areas around the holes and repair the non skid. It's not as hard as it sounds. I had to do it to the cockpit sole on our 37.5 and have been very satisfied with the results. Gougeon has some excellent resource material that will take you through the project. You can find at a local West Marine or contact the factory. They have great support and excellent products.Good Luck,Dan ArsenaultSerendipity Too
