Mark, I worked for a custom boatbuilder in Boston and we soda blasted a Frers 33 that I had Awl-Gripped. They wanted to remove years of bottom paint. Worked great, and as I remember took about 5 hours and cost $1000.00. Your price seems very fair. Take the time to mask your boat well, from the waterline, over the deck and all. They tented the under side of the boat while blasting but the stuff went everywhere.
