I am new to the sailing program. I am bringing a 38 foot cat to san diego. Where can i moor it for the summer. I will need ground parking too. I could also moor in the edge of mexico if needed. I want to spend the summer in socal and then move south this winter. Any information would be great help

So Cal mooring

Go to the Sea Knots site, and ask a member named zeehag. She is moored in San Diego, and can probably give you any info. you need.

phil told me of your problem-----there is a mooring company to ask for tempo moorings---san diego mooring company---619-291-0916--vanessa will help you---the best spot is coronado--we have 2 or 4 empties at present----coronado moorings have the best parking if you are wantoing to sail a few days.......requests go to vanessa and she will be more than glad to help---coronado temps are 260 ish/mo-

the difference between slippage and moorings is only 18 dollars / foot/ month ya wanna pay that?? the man said mooring---i gave him the fone for moooring--moorings are 130-260/mo for everything---there is a big difference....and slips are month to month with first last plus deposit plus live aboard fees---very very expensive.....the moorings are owned by same as harbor island west marina and the others----but the fone number is the one i posted. goood luck and may you have an enjoyable time looking....now ya has a choice.....

I was hoping to use the transient mooring till i find something better. But I may not be able to as I put san dieago as my port of calling on my new reg. I will be leaving monday from to sf bay to head down there. We will see what happens. I may be out at sea anchored.

transient moorings are through san diego mooring co...the cruisers anchorage is diffferent--is through the harbor police. the mooring co has temp moorings in this bay --just ask vanessa at the san diego mooring company office 619-291-0916 ask her for a temproary mooring.....is not a problem---you can be registered out of anywhere you want.......

A long time ago I talked to someone at san diego mooring. I was suppose to be on a waiting list. I have tried for about a week to call venessa. I get the answering recording all except for once. That time a lady said she would have venessa call me right back. That was a few days ago. I am already moving the boat. I am in central ca now. I am concerned that I have no place to moor when i get there. Does any one have any ideas? How about long beach or another locaton for temp mooring?
Thanks for any help

I would also consider a haulout and storage if I have to. Where would be a good place to check prices for that?

haulout and storage in difficult unless ya tries in lost angeles at colonial yacht---ask maria for that prices and such--i donot know them anymore--has been 20 yrs since i knew their prices....they are convenient...san carlos, in mexico, on the mainland side of sea of cortez is a good place for slips and so is la paz---there also for haulout and storage...or do as i mentioned in my phone message to ya......

Still out of luck colonial can't do a 38 cat. Can't even find a mooring. At this point I would prefer a haul out and storage. Anywhere from long beach to san diego. Anyone?
thanks
Steve
