I guess I have been contributing to this forum for 3 or so years and it just amazes me why there are not more 260's down under. I believe there may be about 3-4 in total. Perhaps Aussies are slow learners when it comes to buying a great yacht with fantastic accomodations and sailability.

Give them time, Mark

Its a long way from Florida down the South American coast and around the "Horn" to get to your place. And they have to pass New Zealand first. Jim S/V Java

Ha Ha

That explains the reason. Thanks Jim! I always thought you were a wealth of knowledge. But fair dinkum though I am really supprised that there are not more down here for there are lots of McGregors. I am not sure if mine was shipped out in a forty foot container or just sat on the deck of the ship. Must find out.

240's in Aussie

Mark Have a 240 in Wollongong. Don't know of any others about either. Afraid to touch the 260 due to towing restrictions that you and others have commented on. McGregors are assembled somewhere in Wollongong and often see them being demonstrated on the lake. David

240 purchase

Mark Bought it second hand from Nowra (about one hour south of Wollongong) in January 2003. Is a '98 model but had been used about a dozen times and was kept in a shed. Excellent condition. I believe the new importers for Hunter are based in Sydney. David
