....what does everyone have planned for their boats??

I will be:

Must Do
Oil/Filters
Replace lip seal on SureSeal packing gland
Bottom clean and paint
Shaft Zinc (Although my 2010 one is still about 50% intact and my 2011 one has very little deterioration)

Will Do
Wax
Clean all Stainless
Winch maintenance
Roller furler maintenance

Will Do if it Doesn't Interefere With Spring Launch
Replace halyards with slightly smaller diameter
Replace cockpit stereo speakers
Install 12v plug at helm

I'm sure the list will change 20 or 30 times as the winter goes on.

Your list seem typical of what I used when our boat was in RhodeIsland. My only point in writing is to note not to forget many of us live in areas where summer IS "off-season".

curious, how do you plan on installing the 12v plug at the helm? I would like to do that as well.

ps. sailing was great on the bay yesterday, 10-12 knots constant......hopefully I can put off the off-season for another couple of weeks.

This weekend I am going to finish putting the cover on the boat. That is to protect the boat from the snow, for you Southern members that can sail all winter. I am jealous. We have to pack a year of sailing into 5 months up here.

I have a list of yearly maintenance and 2 major projects. First I hope to put in a starting battery and put the other 2 batteries in one bank. We live on a mooring and struggle to keep the refer going.

And I am going to put a monitor on the holding tank. I was not sure where to put the control panel until I notice where it was in one of Paul's pics, high up in the head. That is exactly where mine is going.

And I am sure there will be other necessary projects once I go through the maintenance.

Southern members, enjoy the sailing this winter. I will be thinking of you.

I promise to try to think about you while I'm sailing Dec. 8. I have sailed here when there was snow on the ground. Pretty dang cold but it was fun.

One rule we have on the dock is if we are out sailing and someone else isn't, you must send them a picture while on your trip! I expect that from those of you who are bragging about their year round sailing!!!

I pull every other year and, unfortunaltely, this happens to be the year. Lucked out last winter though. Had some nice winter days!

Haven't put a formal plan together for the 12v, but I will be running a cable for my GPS to interact with my VHF AIS so I was going to run them together. I was thinking about adding a small uncut Navpod for the outlet but it's a lot of money for one simple outlet so I may cut into the back panel of my instrument Navpod or see what option I have with the engine instrument panel. I will probably sit on the boat next week and contemplate that...since I won't be sailing!! Either way, I will put the plan out there once it is done to see what everyone thinks and will photogrpah and post the process when I do it.

I have more pictures somewhere. I thought about putting it in the NavPod but you need fairly stout wires for the run and types of accessories you could plug in and the tube running up to the Navpod is already pretty full on mine.

PaulJ :poke:saved us with a picture. I used the same place and was pretty happy with the choice.:+1:

I was wondering how busy it was inside there. That's probably the approach I will take then. So now rather than reinveniting the wheel, I'll just sit and contemplate something else.....hmmmm. Thanks guys!
