I have a Schock Harbor 25 with a CF 700 furling system. There is a very thin line that runs from the furling drum and is attached to the anchor roller. This prevents me from laying the anchor rode into the roller. I am not clear why this line is there or what it is for? I have a photo attached here. I would be grateful if anyone has suggestions what this thin, flimsily line is for and do I need it ? Or I could cut it and find out the hard way.

@circa1971la , that line looks like a jury-rig to keep the furler main housing from rotating when the furling drum rotates. On my furler, a cotter pin performs that function.
