I have come by an older Catalina 22 (1977?). The main sail that came with it is more than I want to handle on the lake. Is there a smaller sail or a half sail for this type of boat? Thank you.

Install a set of reef points
Most C22s come with sails with reefing points in them. If you don't have them, you can have them installed by a sailmaker.
