After removing the dodger and dodger frame for the winter I brought the dodger home for the winter and left it lightly folded on a chair on our covered deck - out of sun and rain but exposed to Mass temps. Some few days later I brought it into the hose to clean vinyl windows and roll it up to store. I later noticed that there was about an inch cut/tear at a point where it was folded. This apparently occured from folding the cold vinyl.
Question: is there a way to repair the cut - i.e. "weld" it by coating the edges with a Q-tip soaked in some solvent, and if so which? Or, should I just bring it to our marine canvas company and have a new vinyl "pane" sewn in? The rest of the vinyl seems plyant and in good condition. Appreciate any inputs.
