Last fall we changed out our holding tank hoses on ou C-34. When we went for a pumpout, it went fast at first and then took forever. The dock hands had to close the pumpout fitting to build up pressure and keep doing this. What might be wrong? We never had this problem last year.

Yes. If you have an air leak in the hose, I would think you'd have trouble vacuuming out the tank. However, I don't have specific experience in this.

When you said "dock hands had to close the pumpout fitting to build up pressure" I assume you meant they had to build up suction.

You might also look to see that your tank vent is not clogged, as this will prevent slow to no flow when pumping out, and potentially breaking things, causing leaks, etc., due to the excessive vacuum generated on the tank and fittings.

So, check the connections, and check the vent.
