The first photo is of the old 1/4 forward plywood sections. The old siding came down, first coat of paint going up. Second photo old plywood and styrofoam removed... more paint. New support installed for new 3/4 plywood, starting to section off new open space. Third photo a little peek at how the support went in and last a dry fit of the new plywood forward sections.

Thanks for the that-a-boys, the posting of the photos has to main reasons. One to pass along some ideas that may help push someone along in their own Oday restoration. Number two, if someone out there sees me making a major mistake let me know... I'm a novice to all this. :)

I thought that area in the bow under the deck boards was full of floatation. Is it just empty space? Nice job on replacing that decking.

bow floatation removed.

Sorry for taking so long to post a reply, been working on other projects... hope to post a photo or two of other work done on this good old boat soon. yes the bow at one point was full of floatation. I will be sailing a small inland lake with a max depth of under twenty feet so the extra usable space i felt would be best used as storage... nothing very heavy by the way.
