Picking up my first "big" boat, a Catalina 30, in Punta Gorda, FL in a couple of weeks. (mast 467', length 30', beam 12', draft 4')Looking to keep her there for about 3 months before sailing her home. Having problems finding affordable slips. Used to paying $4/ft with the total being right at $200 month including fees/taxes. Anyone recommend a place? Hopefully finding something for under $400/month.

Probably not gonna happen in a Marina, perhaps a haul out boat storage type place that is NOT close to open water. It's only 3 months though.
Don't forget that a marina will require adequate insurance. Welcome to the reality of boat ownership, costs go up exponentially as the size increases linearlly.:banghead:

I have used Charlotte Harbor boat storage in the past. It's unusual in that the canal entrance is in fresh water. There is a self operated lock to move the boat from Charlotte harbor up to the canal. You should check them out.

Catalina 309 Port Charlotte
You aren't likely to find a slip anywhere near that price. Remember hurricane Ian. Although port Charlotte and punta Gorda didn't lose too many, thousands of slips from just south of us were wiped out. Suggest you take delivery and immediately go a day or two north like to Tampa Bay for your 3 month wait.

I've been trying to sell my Catalina 309 and there's no good market especially because no available slips in the area.
