I have a 1994 Hunter 26 with Spinlock AX clutches. The sheets slowly slide back after I lock them down. Is there an adjustment on the clutch? Are they worn out? Is it possible I have the wrong size sheets?
Don't have the material in front of me, but I remember replacement plugs came with the 3X AX clutch or you can get them from any clutch dealer. Either the friction plugs are worn or your sheets are under sized or badly stretched. Mine are in the boat stored for just this replacemen!
On my 1996 h26 the jib sheets go from winch to regular horned cleats and the halyards go through the clutches with the center board using an open camcleat all on the starboard side. Was there a change since '94? Otherwise, I do have my boat manual at home and the size of the halyards that go thru the clutches is 5/16. The manual also says the size of jib and main sheets is 3/8" if that helps you at all.
