Slinging a Hunter 23.5

Does anyone have experience slinging a 23.5? The trailer bunks will not allow you to get the rear sling under the boat at the designated sling points. Can you sling it from behind the bunk or does it have to be slung at the designated points? I have thought the solution would be to notch the bunk at the sling point and reinforce it with another 2x6 under the notched board, allowing room to push the sling through. Another issue: My marina doesn't have the slings set at the spacing noted on the boat's sling points. Would putting them at an angle to meet the points on the boat cause incorrect loading? The guy at the marina says they sling from in front and behind the bunks on boats all the time, but I don't have much confidence in his opinion. He also says they support the back of the boats on a big piece of foam and raise the front enough to get the slings between the bunk and the boat. This seems like it would put a large stress on a small part of the back end of the boat. Any experience anyone has with this would be appreciated.

I've Lifted Mine Off the Trailer Like That

The boat was lifted of the trailer with a travel lift and onto stands to paint. The forward sling was positioned where the bulkhead is inside the boat. The rear one was as far forward as posible. Mine has no indications for sling points. Where are thay located.

Same Experience

The marina I use slings my 23.5 just behind and just forward of the bunks. It doesn't seem to be a problem.

Sling points

There are decals on the side indicating sling points. One by the front bulkhead and one by the rear bulkhead(where the hatch entry is). There's actually another partial bulkhead, or at least a cross stiffiner, at the back end of the aft bunk (bed not trailer bunks) about 18 inches from the stern. And then the stern itself should help stiffen it.
