My boat is getting hauled out in the morning and I don't exactly recall where the slings should be positioned. Can someone help me out?

Thanks,

Joe Mullee

We have a small lift so this might not help you.
My slings are set right in front of the keel angling back and the rear one is tight against the keel angling forward. I believe this is right on the bulkheads.
Hope this helps.

if you have a marina doing this I would leave the positioning up to them, otherwise you assume the liability if placement is wrong and there are problems.

Thanks

Appreciate the answers and the easy way to remember (bulkheads).

Joe...

Don's right on as is Seadaddler. Once it's on the hard, buy 4 small "S" peal and stick lttters and mark those locations under the rub rail for future haul-outs.

Hi Joe, sorry I didn't see your post sooner. Don and Seadaddler are indeed right on. In front of keel is no problem but your speed and depth might be there. So make sure the paddle wheel is removed. As for the back sling, it is critical to make sure that it does not ride on the shaft (easy to do). So after haul-out, Dan's advice is sound. Here are a few pics of my boat. My own haul-out is coming up on the 17. Hope yours went well. Claude
