Slight vibration / 2 bladed prop

I have a Hunter 40, 1989. I have a slight vibration at 2800 RPM and above. We have replaced the cutlass bearing and placed a new shaft. While this has improved the problem it has not eliminated it. The alignment had been checked twice and I wonder if replacing the two bladed prop with a 3 bladed prop would help. The present prop size is 17 X 11. What would be a replacement size 3 bladed version???

We hear it on a regular basis!

AJ:We hear this problem on the HOW site on a regular basis. It does seem that a two blade prop does NOT have the same balance properties as a three blade. My question is "is it so bad that you want the additional drag"?The normal rule of thumb is to decrease the pitch by 1 so you would probably go to a 17 X 10. You should check with your Prop Professional and make sure what they really suggest.
