looking for mainsail slides and (i believe) shackles. current or originals are nylon and are stamped "pryde". replacements in boat stores are not the same. shackles are stainless with plastic protectors. i am not sure if i should use these replacements or continue to look for originals. have not found items at either D&R or neilpryde websites. thanks, charley

Charlie, Last year I had to replace four slides and three shackles on my Oday22. I took a broken slide and shackle to West Marine and found almost the exact replacements. They are working great and are pretty inexpensive. Larry

Low Cost Repair

If you still have the "slide" that rides in the mast track, you can "lash" it to the sail with strong cordage.

What matters is dimension and strength

I needed to replace a couple on my 23, also. The important aspects of the assembly is that the slide is properly sized for the mast track, the installed shackle/slide assembly holds the sail at about the same distance from the mast, and the material is of good quality and about as "hefty" as the original. Beyond that, it is just appearance. I also found a pretty good match by taking one of my originals into the local marine store and comparing. Good Luck.
