Want to add an electric windlass to my 1987 Legend 37 and would like to hear from someone who has done so on what are my best options. I would also like to know where on the boat others has installed theirs. Thanks.

There are many options but I would suggest the best would be a Maxwell VWC 1200 and mount it just aft of the anchor locker with the motor inside the V berth. This may not look so attractive but the windlass will work and last. Stick it in the chain locker and it will clap out in no time. Pictured is an Ideal vertical windlass but same concept and the Maxwell has a tidier motor set up.
