sink water pump

How do i pump sink water? I filled the bladder, and turned it on its side, and bottom. I pump the handle up and down, and the water in the tubing from the bladder moves up and down about half an inch. What am i not doing to get this to work? Thanks, John in Sacramento, 1999 26X.

Is the tank valve OPEN?

Hi John....... I had to tape the tank valves in the OPEN position to make them reliable. Squeeze the bladder to get the pump primed after periods of non-use. Hey! What lakes do you sail on out there? Been to Shasta? Am moving to Redding/Chico Area thx dan

I sail at Sly Park Lake and Folsom Lake

Sly park lake is east of Placerville, and i have a slip there april through oct. Folsom lake is bigger and closer, so i will be sailing there also, but 7 year wait list for a slip. i hear whiskeytown lake is great for sailing, and is just west of Redding. Thanks for your response on my sink pump. John in Sacramento
