Any reason for the galley sinks not to drain? I just launched a week ago and I was commssioning my water systems when I noticed the galley sinks would not drain. The through-hull valve was open. I replaced all of the hoses, they were in poor condition anyway. I checked for water flowing through the through-hull, when I saw a trickle I closed the valve. Unless someone has a better idea, I plan on blasting the opening with a garden hose with a small tip. I just find it hard to believe that in one week, with cool water something can be growing in the opening already.

Put a short hose

on your thru-hole valve and open it to see if the water will rise up to the water line at a reasonable speed. It just sounds like there is something inside the valve or old hose.

Another option

I had a similiar problem but I discovered there was a dead bug blocking flow. ONCE YOU ARE SURE EVERYTHING IS OPEN, then buy one of those drain things you put in the toilet and it blows a large amount of air and use it; this cleared my problem.
