the sink drains in the head and vanity area on my cat 380 2003 #379 have got to be the cheapest quality that was available at the time. i want to replace them with quality stainless steel drains. the silver painted plastic ones are peeling and look terrible. (you would think for a boat that cost 160,000, catalina would have spent more than $3.99 for the drain....ggrrrr!). anyway, i have been looking on the web and am not having a lot of luck. has anyone done this? where did you find the drains if so? thnx rt

Common Items

You can find stainless replacements at just about any marine supply, West Marine, etc. They only come in two or three sizes, but there are several varieties.

Plumbing supply house

Check your local plumbing supply house that sells to the plumbing trade. They probably have several options on the shelf and many more in catalogs. And since they are not selling 'marine' parts, the prices will be reasonable. Consider bronze as well.

takes a while to search, but they carry everything...really great site... http://www.mcmaster.com/ but your local plumbing supply will probably be easier...

Sink drain replacements

I found just the thing in the plumbing section of my local Lowe's. They're intended to fit bar sinks but they fit the SS galley and head sinks on my C30.
