Silicone Heater Hose

The hose from the water pump to the water inlet on my Pathfinder engine needs to be replaced. It is a 1" ID heater hose, doesn't appear to be molded. I cannot find 1" heater hose locally and the only hose I can find online in Canada is Amazon,

Is silicon hose the way to go? Silicon tends to be more flexible so should be easy enough to install.

It would work fine, probably would outlive rubber hose.. Kinda expensive, but perfectly fine for that application.
