I have to replace my depth/knot meter and I wanted to know how Signet marine stands up to the other companies as far as accuracy, reliability, etc. Is Raytheon better, worse? Any help would be appreciated.

I have a very low opinion of Signet, based on my own experience and those of others I have talked to. Signet would be one of the last instruments I would buy. Frankly, I'm surprised they are still in business.

You can definitely do better than Signet's technologically tired line! Raytheon's (Autohelm) tri-data is a well-proven unit chosen by many owners.

I've had Signet multidisplays in the past. They were EXCEPTIONALLY UNRELIABLE. One of the worst electronics I've ever had on a boat. RP
