Good news, bad news

Ok, the speedo will be fine. Their dial knotmeters were incredibly simple that the paddle wheel ran the dial meter directly. So, for a simple analog knotmeter, I guess you're ok.

The bad news..
Their depth sounders were the most unreliable units ever imagined.
They had dial units, superseded by models which had power hungry nixie-type tubes.
Buy another depth sounder. You need this to warn you when you are about to run aground, and you don't want to rely on signet for that.

The only depth sounder that sort of worked was their smart pack, but even that was kludgy.
Go on ebay, and buy a used Raymarine.

artboas, Thanks for the feedback. I had Signet depth and speed gauges on my 1987 Hunter 31, which worked well. If the depth gauge proves to be unreliable then I will follow-up on your recommendation.
