We have completed the purchase of a 2008 Beneteau 40 that has a Siemens VDO digital monitoring of the battery voltage, freshwater, and fuel. The system will only display the freshwater tank levels, regardless of whether you press the button for the battery or the fuel. The only time that we can see anything regarding battery voltage is when a low battery alarm sounds. Does any one have any experience with these gauges and where do I get additional help.

I think you can probably fix your VDO Nav panel display by simply un-plugging and then plugging in the wire harness shown in this attached photo. In the photo I am pointing to the harness to un-plug and then plug back in. It seems to be just a periodic re-set of this wire that is needed. Try this and see if it works.

Glad I just saw this - My VDO stopped working completely - same night that I had short
in bow nav light - coincidence? - VDO was much lower priority and I was much busier with other stuff.
