Has anyone out there installed a washdown pump in their anchor locker? I think having it there would be a most convenient spot but perhaps other locations would be better...any advice?

I installed mine in the lazerette

because it made access to the hose and hose storage convenient and it was close to the batteries which simplified the wiring. I installed a hose bibb in the rope locker just aft of the lazerette and the hose coils up nicely beneath the coiled docking lines, extra sheets, etc.Everything is accessible from the cockpit. It has worked well for me.Tom
