On my H22, one "T" bolt connector (at the very bottom on the shrouds)on each side of the boat has a slight bend between the base of the "T" and the start of the threads. This inside "T"bolt has the bend on the starboard, the outside bolt has the bend on the port side. I assume that these are damaged fittings that needs to be replaced. Could some of you H22 owners look at these fittings on your boats and let me know if your "T" bolts have a similiar bend? Thanks for the help. Bud

I replaced all mine

I have a H23.5. It was 7 years old when I bought it. A couple of the bolts were bent about 40 degrees. I finally clued in that they should not be bent and replaced them all a year later. If I don't say it somebody else will state the obvious: do not straighten the bent bolts! That will make them weaker. I couldn't find identical T-bolts. The originals had the T part much thicker than the threaded part. I could only find ones that were the same size for all of the T. I called all over and what finally convinced me that the replacements were OK was when I noticed that the breaking strength of the T-bolt/toggle was greater than the breaking strength of the shrouds themselves. If your T's are similar you'll need new toggles and cleavis pins with the T-bolts. Mine came that way as a unit anyway. They get bent when the mast is raised. You have to get them into proper position before they get tension on them. ...RickM...
