I Love the 260 design. What would make a good cruising boat even better is the addition of a shower. The head compartment in the 2001 model seems large enough for a sit down shower. Installing a pressure water system is easy enough, but how would one install the shower sump? Has anyone out there ever inslalled one in there 260?

I think the space in the head would work OK, but the ballast tank is directly below the deck. Also, the head door being close to the cabin sole doesn't lend itself too well for adding a lip to hold the water in the head to drain/pump out. As long as the cruising is done in fair weather, which would be my choice anyway, I think pressure water with some kind of heater and a shower at the transom would be more practical. That's what I have been thinking toward doing. Hope this helps, Joe C. in NC '01 H260 Windward Passage
