My water will not drain out of the shower area by way of the port hole in the bulkhead on the deck. Does it have a shower sump?, gravity flow to the bilge?, and how do you get to the problem to correct this? Thank You any help you can give would be appreciated.

Gravity to Bilge

Probably the best way to fix it is to install a small pump that sucks the water from the shower floor and pumps it directly outside via a through-hull installed above the waterline. A check valve between the pump and the through-hull will prevent any water from returning to the shower floor. I've seent his system on Beneteau 40s and it works well. I have the same problem with my 340 and plan to use this as a solution. Jim

Shower drain

I had the same problem on my 1995 29.5. I discovered there was a right angle hard plastic bend which was holding things up, and lig=fe improved considerably when I replaced it with a straight-thru. Joe Aquilina SY Maverick Valletta - Malta

Good Luck! LOL

I own a 1988 33.5 went through the same issues, even went so far as to buy a pump and all the hardware. Gave up! just wasn't enough room. It now just flows to bilige.

Shower Sump Pump on h34

I've read the problems with a shower sump pump in the 33.5. I have a sump pump in my h34, pumps through a vented loop through an outlet about 18 inches above waterline. Automatic float switch, wired to the pressurized water. I thought the h34 and 33.5 were very similar as to hull, liner, etc.???
