I have an 11.0A that I am in the process of updating. The previous owners have made numerous changes, not all of them for the better. Currently the shower sump drains into the bilge. Since there is a breaker on the cotrol panel marked "shower" I assume that was used to activate the shower sump pump. Can anyone advise where the pump was originally located and where did it exit to drain.

i have the same condition on my 9.2a..so i am putting in a dedicated shower sump tank with pump ...the one i am looking at is a Trionics Super Sump Shower Tank 2gal/12v system i found it at Jamestown Distributors or you can look on www.trioniccorp.com they also have water tanks as well at very good priceing.....i am still studying the tank products for quality and durability as well ...... the reason for this brand is it is far better than the attwood system in the fact that the tank is a closed system with a twist off inspection hole as opposed to a square 4 screw lid that does not seem very sturdy......hope this helps.......

Hey Woody, thks for the reply.I already purchased one of the new style drain tanks w/ automatic switch thinking it would be a simple installation behind the mast step. However,it looks like I may end up mounting the tank way back by the galley where I have a bildge access door. And I still have the problem of where to route the hose for the sump tank to drain the gray water. Attempts to locate the original plumbing details when the boat was manufactured have been unsuccessful.

i am putting mine in the bilge area in the keel....had to cut a hole in the cabin sole in order to access the keel ....i dont think you will find much on diagrams for s-2s plumbing....back then they didnt furnish much info on theses boats ...but it really doesnt matter as with 30 year old boats every thing needs to be upgraded any way ....things have gotten better in the way of equipment for crusers and sail boats .......oh and you may want to check all your hoses as they used a spiral type on most of the plumbing back then and i am sure it is ...if not... almost rotten....seems they were very frugel in thoses days or didnt have the quality hoses that are out there now....good luck...
