Shower Sump Pump Troubleshooting

My shower sump is not working. Pump runs, I took the hose off where it connects to the Pump-Gard and blew through it and it seems to have a good seal. The one hose I did not check was the outlet of the Pump-Gard strainer to the inlet of the Para-Max pump (instructions say that these hoses should have no leaks so the pump can self-prime and draw). I did take the pump out and inspect and everything looks fine. Thoughts?

had a similar problem with suction on the fridge drain, after blowing out hoses. Replaced the y-valve which was getting wonky (no joy), then traced it back to the strainer which I think had an air leak. Replacement fixed the issue.

After checking through the lines, I finally pulled the pump and it has no suction or output so it looks like it is the pump.

Replaced the pump with a $62 one from Amazon where the strainer mounts to the pump and all is working great.
