Jim, I ordered your kit yesterday and while telling my wife about it she hit me with a question. She has always used Mr. Muscle oven cleaner to remove soap scum from our shower stall in our house. It must no longer be made, probably for environmental reasons, and she is frustrated with finding a replacement. Will your Island Girl Pink cleaner be suitable for this? If so she will likely forgive me for spending all the money on it. The shower is fiberglass with gelcoat. Thanks, dave

Have you tried Shower Power?

Dave: Has your wife (or you) tried Shower Power for the soap scum? I would try this first. Not very expensive and does a good job. Save the GOOD STUFF for the boat.

Try C.P.

The enzymes in it "eat" soap scum...are also good for the sump, and it'll leave the glass and porcelain shining.

I have tried on showers- Superwax may have a use!

One of my wholesale customers is called "BathTub Express". They do fiberglass and even acrylic repair (something I would like to learn). THey also do water slides at theme parks etc. There are cheap and effective means of removing soap scum. CLR might be good (haven't tried personally) if water is hard and salts are an added problem. Otherwise IG Pink does work pretty well and you only need a a little. The Guy at Bathtub Express is presently working with Tub manufactuers with regards to our products. This is, of course specially applicable to hot tubs that cannot really be waxed in the conventional way. Once Ajax and similr are used on shower stalls or hot tubs the surface is dull and becomes porous and easily stained. Even a little of the Superwax goes a long way in such "everted boats". The surface is not slippery (imortant in showerss) beads water and seals the pores. Then its more easily kept clean and if abrasive methods are used they only scratch up the hard Swax surface. Be glad to hear from anyone else who would like to try - there are a lot more tubs than boats and I do need to make a profit! Thanks Jim Willis
