I need to replace the flexible hose in the Head Shower. Has anyone tackled this before? Looks like you have to remove the fiberglass panel to get at the plumbing and I do not see any obvious way of removing it.
Yes you can remove that entire panel (been there done that) but there's an easier way. Cut a 6" weather tight deck plate into that panel to the right of the shower faucet. That will give access to both the back of the faucet assembly and the anti siphon valve for the head. You can also add a rectangular hatch below the shower seat for additional storage.
Look for the seam, all around the edge of the molded shower "wall". You have to take an exacto or utility knife to it and cut it out. Alan's shortcut will save you hours.
