Hello all.

so typically I buy new pumps when one fails figuring the pump is 15+ years and paid for itself. This time I figured I would rebuild. Have 2 shower pumps jabsco that the valves completely deformed. Simple. Comes apart and replace parts. However when I put back together have a fantastic leak between the motors and body of the pump……no o-ring between the two only the diaphragm. Positioned in place and tightened everything up. Easy enough. Turn pump on and water sprays all over. Thought I over tightened so backed off screws and still spewing water. What am I missing please. I know it’s human error and figure the diaphragm is not seated properly but would love some input.

Wife and I have to take a transom shower tonight…..

thanks!

That's a fairly simple pump. Sounds like the diaphragm isn't seated correctly. Make sure both seating surfaces are clean and all is seated correctly. Can you put that diaphragm in upside down? Just throwing things out...
