Still trying to configure a shower in the head too. The problem as stated is an adaquate drainage system. So far the only thing I've thought of that may work is a deep shower pan fitted to the lower portion of the head with a bilge pump sharing room with your feet. A curtain would have to be attached to it as well. As pointed out real tight. Perhaps the curtain could be arrainged to allow sitting on the toilet. Maybe it would be easier to place one in the cabin. For now the solar shower works well. Also bought a Zodi shower unit at e-bay for $55. The Zodi is an instantaineous propane fired water heater with a small pump designed to be placed in a container of fresh water. It will also take water from a hose or presurized water system. There is plenty of space to secure 5 gal jugs of water. If you are at an anchorage, 5 gal jugs may be the only means of getting fresh water aboard anyway. alan

Joyce & Bob

Hi Alan

Dear Alan, hope your summer is going well. I am wondering why there is this tremendous preoccupation with showering. I launched the Joy-Sea around mid June and so far have sailed it four (4) times, back and forth to the RM Bridge. No overnights yet. Alan, I have made four attempts to get down to Zacks Bay and have failed. I need your skills. Let me know when you have some time on the weekend, or even an evening sail with the spouses. Its hard to believe that its only a 2 - 3 mile trip, yet I am having so much trouble geting there. Speak with you soon. Regards, Bob.

This Sat. would be good. alan

Have a friend with a share at Kismet. Been there a bunch of times, Sailor's Haven twice (tied up once). Been taking advantage of free docking for eating at rest. on Fire Island. It's a lot easier to shower the kids off when still out then showering them at home when they are out! alan
