I need to replace the shower hose on my 35.5. It seems the only way to access it is to remove part of the fibreglass shower enclosure to get at the back of the fitting. Has anyone out there done this?
You will have to take a very sharp and thin bladed knife and cut the sealant around the shower liner top. I can't remember if there are any screws that need to be removed at this time. But you pull the top of the liner forward enough to reach inside and replace the hose. When you are finished, you put the liner back and reseal the seams with an almond colored sealer. I did this about 5 years ago.
Last year the hose that attaches to the shower head started leaking, apparently the hose came off from the fitting, I ended up putting a plug to the hose "T" fitting running under the sink. The only way in that I can figure out is to remove all the sealant around the whole enclosure (not looking forward to that), or cut an access hole in the enclosure, if I can find a decent way to cover the hole.
