Hello everyone! I am slowly getting to know my 1980 H33 Cherubini! I just recently got the fresh water working again, can anyone tell me where the shower drains to? I suspect it drains into the bildge, and suspect it is clogged, but before I go sticking something in the hole to un-clog it, I wanna make sure there are no hoses that I can't get to!
Thanks again and happy sailing!

I would try to unclog it with a shop vac or a water hose. Most of the drain lines are plastic or trying to unclog with a line could damage it and then you would have a bigger problem of replacing the drain line .

On my 1990 H-33.5 the shower drain went cascading over 2 fiberglas "lips" directly into the bilge. NOT a good idea. I eventially ground down the cascading "lips" and put in a 90 degree elbow drain, connected a hose to that and then into an Atwood sump that I then installed. The ice box drain also went directly into the bilge. Again NOT a good idea. It now also goes into the same sump. The sump has an Auto/Manual switch to it. The galley drain sea cock has a manifold on it to accept the Sump drain line, the galley sink drain, and the dish dry sink drain line (which also went directly into the bilge before). A much better system now with all going overboard and not into the bilge.

Your 33 has a separate shower drain bilge with a separate bilge pump. There is a on/off switch for this pump on the wall above the sink. The bilge access is below the batteries. On my 33 this space is used for extra batteries as discribed in the owners modification section on this site. I use an outdoor shower and have plugged the inside head shower drain.

Thank you, I saw the bilge pump under the batteries when I was working on the engine, and thought it was a seperate compartment for the engine or something??? Now I know what the something is!! Thanks! B.
