I have a 1980 Hunter 33 and the shower doesn't drain and I can't figure the damn thing out. I don't have any schematics on where the water runs to drain. I think it could possible run through the bilge since it's below water but I can't find the drain hose. It seems to drain into a tank under the batteries but I don't know how to access it and I don't know if there is a pump in there that I don't know about. Help!!!!!

H33 shower

If your H 33 is as the factory shipped it, there is a push-pull switch in the head that actuates a bilge pump that pumps it overboard through a throughhull on the starboard side above the waterline in the head area. The shower sump is accessed by first removing the batteries, then lifting a hatch cover board.

Shower Drain

Hi Dave, Your shower should drain to a seperate bilge pump usually located in a white plastic square tray like box with a soap sud filter which then pumps water over board. An easier solution for you, just install a small bilge pump under your floor grid if you have room and run a 1/2 line with a one way flapper valve and just pump over board.Install a remote switch in the shower area and you're home free.
