We had a technical problem with this topic last month, but weve got to do it.

Not that special, its the cove right across from the WYC. But we can be there in less than 30 minutes from leaving the house. And while we might have company during the day, as the sun sets the other boats leave.

A mooring, not quiet an anchorage, but 3 hours closer (from my home base) to anchorages like Hadley's harbor, Elizabeth islands & Marthas Vineyard/Nantucket. This is Falmouth inner harbor. I've been on a wait-list for about 15 years, seeing the last person to get a mooring here was in 1996...I probably have a few years more to go. However, a kind gentleman allowed me free use of his mooring this month...allowing me to enjoy many of my favorite anchorages. She looks at home here.

Mine for the last two seasons has been this tea-cup of water.

Low tide, it's virgin beachcombing because it's an island (you can just see my beachcomber - middle frame).

It's like having your own pond for dinghy sailing.

Will it hold as my favorite anchorage for another year? 2020 is different, who knows what will turn up.

Recently, my favorite is Pinhey's Point. Nice dinghy dock, a museum showcasing an old stone house and it's less than 8 miles from the harbour.

That's our (Les, John, and my friend Jim with our wives) charter boat out there. We had a great day. 17nm East of Placencia. Enjoying all of the treats of the island and the Lionfish Grill. Ladies said it was the best day ever.

Nice little cove straight across from the marina where we used to keep the boat. It was maybe 15 to 20 minutes by motor. Spent many an afternoon here rafted up with others and swimming. Generally pretty shallow with a sandy bottom and well protected from waves. Officially I believe it is called "Christman Cove", but more often its referred to simply as "The Cove" or also "Turtle Cove". We've moved our boat to the other end of the lake and we are looking for a new favorite anchorage closer to home now.
