Show me your vang

My Oday 28 does not have a boom vang. I can find no evidence of a bail or other attachment on the mast,deck or boom. Anybody got a pic of theirs? I do have some blocks to use but would like to know some measurements.

Thanks Tom. Is the mast block mounted thru the cabin roof with a big backing plate? Nice furling main.

The attachment is built into the Mast Plate. I've attached a couple pictures showing each attachment point.

Hi, I have the same 1980 boat. The mast is Kenyon and I had to add the bail to the mast. The bomm had a bail already attached. Go to RigRite web site and look up the Kenyon mast. I bought the piece for my mast. Under $100.00. The pictures shown here are of an Isomat mast that was used after 1980. Much more versatile for adding blocks to the mast base.
