Shoutout to Raymarine

The ACU-100 unit on my Raymarine autopilot recently quit working. I sent to it to Raymarine via UPS on July 6, and it arrived at their repair facility for warranty work on July 10. On Monday, July 13 I received an email detailing the bench test and repair. The repaired unit arrived back at my house two days later on Wednesday July 15. In addition to the repair, they upgraded my software to the most recent version. Something that isn't practical for me because I don't have a Raymarine dealer anywhere close to me.

This experience is consistent with the service I have always received from Raymarine and their staff. Kudos to the company!

2 years ago my Raymarine auto pilot crapped out. It was out of warranty but They offered repair work for a flat $350. The work was done promptly and haven’t had a problem since. I was very happy with the result. It was much better then buying a new unit.

I was happy that Raymarine had the replacement vanes for my ST50. And I didn't get raped on the price!

Thanks !! for the positive reports.
All of our vintage ST-60 sailing instruments still work like new, and our late model Raymarine AP (one rev. back from their current model) is functioning well.
I hope we get some more years out of them before having to replace ($$).

I am happy that you are happy, but...
I feel that Raymarine are receiving kudos for doing what should be the norm,
How about a 3 year warranty?
How about producing units which can be plugged into any P.C. with free analytic software?
How about continued ( software and hardware) improvement of models already in production?
For example; extra slots on the board that allow the user to update with whatever they want or feel that they need. (A.I.S. Wi-fi or something that hasn't been imagined yet). We have had U.S.B. ports in our computers for years.

Gary,
Raymarine did provide a 3 year warranty on the wheel pilot that I purchased from them last year.

How about you buy your next AP from a company that offers all those options.

In the meantime, I’m really happy with my Raymarine unit and the service that the company provides.

Do you honestly think I sent an electronic unit back to a manufacturer for warranty work without making a phone call?
