We recently purchased a new Hunter 25 but had a bunch of problems with the rudder last summer. We're keeping the boat on a mooring. Our rudder won't come completely out of the water when not in use and appears to be taking on too much stress from the water knocking it around when its not in use. We're unsure if the boat dealer assembled the boat incorrectly and are trying to reach customer service to have it looked at. The rudder was knocked around enough to cause the bracket that holds it to be bent out of shape and there now appears to be too much play between the rudder and the bracket holding it. Has anyone else had similar issues? Any suggestions?
