Still on the Learning Curve here so here goes. After motoring out from a crowded launch, is there a good way to raise the Main shorthanded once out on the water in a breeze? I manage to get it done facing (initially) into the wind without anchor, Main luffing & jib furled. Biggest problem is trying to keep the Tiller in one spot & boat on course...usually jam the extention under a cushion but doesn't always stay. Boat blows around too. Gets a little hectic! Would also like suggestions for detaching & cleating the topping lift on the mast under same conditions. Could be going about it all wrong...a better & safer way would be appreciated. Thanks, Joe
