shore power

When I went to my boat last weekend, the house batteries were completely dead. I stay plugged in to my shore power all the time to maintain my refrigerator. I had a Honda 2000 generator with me at the time, so I plugged the shore power cord into it to eliminate the pedestal being the problem. Still no power going in. Tomorrow morning I'm going to investigate further using my multimeter, but I'm not overly experienced with electrical systems. I could use some help on tracking down the problem. Any advice on how to proceed is very welcome.

Check the 110 circuit breaker if you haven't already. It should be very close to where the power comes into the boat.

Be sure to chrck the female end of the cord and the receptacle.

I've had mine trip out and a quick flick of a switch has it going again

I'm an idiot. Yes, the breaker switch was thrown. It's a funny thing with my boat; I tend to look for difficult solutions first. Most of the time I always try the simplest fix: restart the computer, check the distribution panel when home power is out, etc.
