Shorepower
I can't see why you could not place the inlet closer to the bow. It should of course be mounted on the vertical side of the coachroof. I have mine on the port side beside the first portlight, and built a breaker box (30A), out of wood and fixed it to the inside of the cabin interior. From there I have it split towards the bow (1 outlet) and stern (2 oulets in main salon and 1 in the lazarette). This is not quite to code, but I make sure nothing more than 30 amps is plugged in at once.Steve, you were prudent to take your powercord home. Mine was stolen the week before haulout. I was going to replace it anyways, but on my time not the thief's. A replacement cost of $500 sounds too high. I can get one here (30A, 50') for about $80. Are you looking at the 50A, 50' monsters?Don
