I would like to purchase a 26M. I live in Alaska. No dealers here. To buy one from a lower 48 dealer, shipping is restrictive. very expensive. Any ideas??

Ship, sail or trail?
Since the weather is improving, I'd sail and motor up the Inside Passage; that would be a great scenic trip of about 1100 miles and with the 26M, you could do it in 5 or 6 days if you're pressed for time. The second option would be to trailer it which would be about 2400 miles which would also be about a 5 day trip. The third would be to find someone willing to sail or trailer it for you for a price. I prefer the first option assuming you have a reasonable amount of sailing experience.

Alaskan ferry
It might be worth looking into the Ferry. I haven't made tht trip in 20 years, but it was always cheaper than shipping? If you fill the bilge up with fresh vegetables, you can resell them, and pay for the trip?
