I'm also with Daly's. IF you want to stay with oil exteriors. Bear in mind, I'm one of those varnish purists that think anything under ten coats is a waste of time. I'm near passionate about the stuff. I won't get started..
But you are in no way, in any shape, form, or fashion going to cheat the game and get a high gloss finish, with a lasting shine with any kind of oil on earth, I don't care HOW much of it you put on. You will still be re-applying it regularly. That's not to say you won't be re-applying varnish either, maintenance coats are a fact. There is no easy way out with brightworks. Yep, epoxy is a decent option. And I can walk the docks and tell varnish from Sickens. It's just where your heart is. My sister has a common saying, "It's all about what you can live with, and what you can live without". That is true for most things actually.
But Daly's might be your quick and "easier" option.
I will further add that none of these prior posts are wrong. I like some options a little better than others.
Few things have driven the sailor to distraction more than brightworks. It's the curse..
