As the summer progressed the transmission of our 1984 O'Day 34 has more frequently had a delay in shifting to forward as we begin to pull out of the slip.
I checked the transmission fluid level, and it is correct.
I adjusted the shift cable which was new in May 2007. I am at the end of the adjustment in this direction at the transmission end of the cable. The shifter is in the "up" position for a righthand prop.
There aren't any unusual noises from the transmission. Are major transmission repairs likely to be needed during the winter layup?
Thanks for any suggestions, Phil
