my pull button on my shifter has been stuck since I bought the boat.......so now that its winter.....I took it apart to free it up.....got it all freed up and I did notice some wear.............I installed it and now my pull button pops out after the first shift...........so I took it apart again and put it back again and its alittle better but it does not work 100%.

I could secure the pull button so that it doesnt pop and the shifter will work.......but no thanks........either there are new parts to install or I just purchase a new one.......I have included a photo of the shifter, maybe someone can tell me what brand this is and where I can find a replacement...

It _was_ made by Morse Teleflex, but they don't make that model anymore.

If you want to stir the pot a little call Jim at Morse, 610-495-1980 is his direct line. Maybe he can suggest a replacement but at the very least you can lobby to bring that one back.

The main number for Morse is 610-495- 7011, they're on eastern time.

Those gear/throttle shifters used to be standard on the J105, and I know JBoats that switched over to the Vetus SISCO model (uses Teleflex/Morse type guts) - no idea how easily it swaps over from old to new, but this should be a very viable replacement.

The Vetus SICO and SISCO units should be a good , although I'm not sure that the cutout is identical. Both units have a Stainless shift/throttle lever unlike the Morse unit which I believe was a plated piece.
